Huntly faced Colts last Thursday knowing they had to win to keep alive their already slim hopes of promotion. Huntly started well with McIntosh driving the ball across the face of the Colts goal but their keeper smothered. Scott Law then had an opening on the left hand side but his shot went wide. Greg Dorrat then put the ball in the Colts net but the ref ruled it out for an apparent push. Dorrat had a chance to break the deadlock soon after when Jamie Cooper sliped the ball through but the Colts keeper was off his line quickly to block. Colts then nearly scored right on half time when their midfielder volleyed at goal but new signing in goal Thatcher was there to make a good save. HT 0-0. The second half started at a quick pace with the ball going end to end and both keepers had to be on their toes to be off their line quickly. Colts opened the scoring not long into the half when a throw in was not cleared and the Colts midfielder neatly finished from the edge of the box . 0-1. Colts then had a man sent off soon after but Huntly failed to make their extra man count. Law and Dorrat both had chances to equalize but the Colts keeper yet again saved. Huntly piled on the pressure in the final 15 minutes but it was to late and the Colts held on for a win. FT 0-1.
