A gy stramash thenicht wi a oor combines an tractors and bogeys takin up a the room in the carpark bit we did get a gamey goin.
We started the game weel and took the lead fan Jamie had a couple o attempts at it then leathered the ba past the keeper for 1-0. We got the 2nd by scorin for the 1st time fae a corner this season(aboot bloody time) fan Gary nodded hame, 2-0. We then took oor fit of the gas and payed for it. We were 2nd best a ower the pitch and gave awa 2 bad goals through basically lack o effort tae close doon or win the ba back. Their 1st was due to poor markin at a corner, 2-1 and their 2nd fan we didna di near enuff to get in a decent tackle on the edge o the box, 2-2. We retook the lead though wi a scrappy goal, Conner hid 1st stab at it but Maty S made sure by forcin it weel ower the line, 3-2. We then had James tae thank for keepin us in front fan he made a cracker o a save low to his left fae a goal bound header. A lucky 3-2 half time score for us.
2nd half we made a couple o changes tae strengthen midfield and it settled us doon a bit and were never under ony real pressure 2nd half. Neal wis upended in the box to gie us a penalty which James strode up and cooly stroked it hame for his 1st goal o the season, 4-2. Ian caused a few problems up top for them and hit the post efter he made a good run, I think Ian's hit the woodwork mare times than he's scored this season. James also pulled of his best save o the season when he tipped a top corner freekick ower the bar. Neal rounded off the scorin wi a well taken finish for final score of 5-2.
Certainly nae oor best game o the season but it rounded off a lang hard year wi a great run o 11 wins 1 draw and 1 defeat in oor last 13 games. James was man o the match for his 2 world class?? saves. We also had a last fairwell fae Craig fa sadly winna be returning next year. The run we've been on jist proves wit a good team we hav and it's jist a pity we hid that blip mid season or we would certainly hav added tae oor points total. Very proud of a the loons for their efforts this season, lets hope we can build on this for next season.
