KBC 1-4 Huntly

Another win but we made hard work o it. Probably the worst(maybe a bit harsh) we've played 1st half for a while, but 2nd half the loons got it thegither and ran oot easy enuff winners. Gary in goals 2nd half had only 2 touches and got a bity cald wi the wind.

1st half at times it felt like the loons thought turnin up was enuff tae beat KBC theday fa hav had a few wins lately. It was a big park and the grass was a bity lang but it wis the same for baeth teams. Wi made good progress up tae their box but jist didna hae ony omph or real desire tae finish them off. We had another shocker o a ref theday fa had heaps o p*** poor decision's, maestly against us, and it seemed tae get to us a bit. KBC struck 1st when on the break they hut a shot fae 30yds that Gary had nae chance wi, their only shot o the game, 1-0. Rory was lucky tae bide on the park when the ref gave a bad call against him efter he won the ba and in disgust he went tae boot the ba awa but only tapped it awa and hit the ref wi it and got booked. Abity later he got in a tangle wi a KBC player, lashed oot got a talkin tae then got intae a slangin match wi KBC's coach. When the ref was aboot tae send him aff the KBC coach stepped in tae change the ref's mind(how many folk would hav din that?) but Rory's affy passionate and had lost it so we had tae tak him aff for his ane good. 1-0 half time.

A stern word at half time followed and it seemed tae work as we were a different team 2nd half and wi Neal drivin us on fae midfield wi took ower completely. The goal wisna that quick comin and we loked nervy kine and lookin for the perfect shot but Neal leveled it wi a scrappy kine o goal, 1-1. The goal settled us and a the loons were noo back tae playin how we cane we can and Neal got his 2nd for 1-2. He had a couple o half chances for his hattrick efter this and Craig got no.3 when he picked up the keepers poor kick oot and took what seemed an age tae get it under control before placin his shot high above him when he was stranded, 1-3. Steven rounded off the scorin wi the best goal o the game wi a beauty o a strike fae 25 yds which came in off the post. 1-4 full time.

In fit turned oot tae be a managerial master stroke by myself and Mark, Neal in centre midfield was the difference for us theday. 2nd half he was a ower the park winnin the ba, startin attacks, playin a the right passes and scorin the decisive goals. I dinna cane if onybody else had the same spark as him theday and he was by miles the best player on the park. Some lacklustre displays 1st half(nae by abody) almost cost us but Neals example pulled us through and wi a bare squad theday it turned oot to be a another good win. Baeth o oor trialists the day did well when they came on. We're creepin up the league noo and hopefully the run'll continue and we'll find oor true league position cos in my opinion we're a better team than oor current position shows.(even if Ellon dinna think so)
