Nae a good game o fitba tae watch but we got anither win under oor belts. The wind was quite tricky at times but that wisna the main reason for the dour stuff on show.
Kintore were a bity better than last time we played them but their tactics were mare or less the same, big kick oot fae the centre half and James in oor goals picked up the ba fae his kick. They kept a high defensive lina ana and Gary was caught offside mare times than Pipo Inzaghi. We took the lead though when Gary broke the high line up oor left and his perfect cross was met in the box by Liam, 0-1. Oor 2nd goal was Ian at his best, he expertly took down a through ba on the turn and calmly beat the keeper near post for 0-2. Kintore never really threatened and Steven and Rory took care o maest o their forrays forward, James had little tae dae but as usual if he did get something tae dae he did it well. 0-2 half time.
2nd half we played a little better and Gary made it 0-3 fae the penalty when Craig was upended in the box, me, Mark and Claire didna even think it was a foul. Gary then got his second o the game and oor 4th when he tapped in a rebound fae the keeper fae Ross's shot, 0-4. Rory got the best goal o the game and his 1st ever for Huntly wi a 60 yrd mazy run fae his ane half(Jim thought Rory's 1st goal would ay be a stormin header fae a corner nae a cracker like that), 0-5. We closed the game oot well and played mare good passin and movin once we were well clear. 0-5 full time.
Nae oor best performance of late but we had mare than enuff aboot us to see of Kintore. We'll hav tae play better against Glentaner on Sunday and I'm sure the loons'll be up for it. A sticky 1st half but better 2nd and Rory and Steven got joint man of the match for a good display at the back. Great goal for Rory tae get and Gary noo has played every position for us this season as he was up front for us thenite(always plays weel nae matter far). We're on a good run noo so hopefully we can keep it up till the end o the season.
