Overall this was a fairly undistinguished game.
The first half was all Huntly, who were rarely out of Kintore's half, and Merson must have been struggling to stay awake.
Numerous chances were created by Huntly, and to mention profligacy in front of goal would be doing the Kintore keeper a huge disservice, as he pulled of a few excellent stops. Despite his efforts, Higgins and Reilly put three in before the break, one a dramatic overhead-ish effort from Higgins and another excellent solo effort starting from well within the Huntly half by Reilly.
HT 3-0
Second half all got a bit strange and scrappy as Huntly assumed what appeared to be a 3-5-2 formation and lost their shape completely, mainly due to not using the width on the wings and reverting to punting the ball aimlessly down the middle, or trying the fancy stuff & going through traffic. When the ball did come wide, esp on the right, chances were created, but it simply didn't happen often enough.
Guys you need to look up and look for the easy option, and that's not putting snaw on the ball or taking it on all on your own. You have teammates out in space if you care to look.
Anyway, another well worked and taken goal came courtesy of Duncan, and so with conceding just the one - to a rather dodgy offside decision - the lads earned themselves another 3 points.
