Ferryhill BC 5-4 Huntly YFC

Gutted we didna win today. Our 2nd half performance was tremendous and all the loons were really disapointed at the final whistle. We put so much into the game to come away with nothing.
1st half we payed a bit for sloppyness losing 2 goals when we coould have done better. Angus scored our 1st half goal from a freekick fae a pass back which Jamie layed back and he hut a thing like a rocket into the bottom corner. 3-1 half time.
2nd half we came oot sharper, stronger and hungry to put things right. Jamie and Andrew worked well on the right , Jamie crossed it and William poked the ball home for 3-2. There's a wee bit of artistic license to describe our 3rd goal and if you were there you could say only half of it is true. From a corner Andrew made a good run and left a bit of space on the edge of the 6 yarder, James snuck in and fired home a stunning volley right in the top corner. 3-3. We were well on top now and Jamie scored our 4th with a brilliant 25 yard shot that looped into the top corner. 3-4. Jordon made a brilliant save to keep us in front then Ferryhills 4th was, I thought offside but we didna deal well with it after the pass 4-4. In the last minute Ferryhills pressure told and they pinched their 5th. 5-4 full time.
Today was the best we've played all season. We played another of the top teams and played them of the park, even though we lost theday, the progress we've made since the start of the season is now showing and every loon today was terrific. The attitude, teamwork and fitba we showed, along with how gutted they were to get beat was in a funny way good to see. Canna really pick a man of the match today cos for me it was a brilliant team display and they all deserve great credit. Nae happy we lost but delighted with how we played. We better win next week!!!!
ps sorry to the subs who didna really get lang theday cos it was a job takin onybody off cos the 1st 11 played so well.
