Huntly YFC 2-5 Ferryhill BC

A much better performance than thursday night, you would have thought you were watching a totaly different team. There was more fight and we battled right to the final whistle. Shock, horror we actually took the lead in a game against the top sides when Darren got a touch on one of Jamie's corners for 1-0. Ferryhill equalised shortly after but we kept playing well and played some good stuff. Ferryhill pinched the lead when we didna clear a corner properly, Jordon spilled the resulting shot and Neal nearly cleared it of the line. 1-2 half time.
2nd half we kept up the pressure and never gave them a minutes peace(unlike thursday night) but Ferryhill took a 1-4 lead, the good thing was the heads didna go down, Jamie was hammering into challenges and David and William were annoying them with some of their tackling(all fair and above board). Our 2nd came from a good kick out by Jordon, Jamie helped it onto Darren on the right, he ran on, crossed it and Aidan tucked it home nicely at the back post. 2-4. Ferryhill scored another to make it 2-5 full time. We did have some more chances at 2-4 but we just dinna seem to get the luck when we need it. I thought the Ferryhill loons were a bit out of order at full time, their keeper wiped his hand across his a***before he would shake hands with Lee(he didna shake it ) and another ane kept diggin aboot fa won the game at the end. I'm nae for a minute saying were angels but they were dishin it oot but couldna tak it.
I thought Rory was our best player today, 1st half he made a lot of important tackles and did the simple stuff well, Lee and Neal were same as usual, Aiden(c) won good headers at the back, Darren and Gary caused them a lot of problems on the wings, Jamie was involved in all our good play, David was dogged in the middle breaking up there play, William broke forward well from midfield, Aidan had a few good lay offs upfront and pressured the defence and Jordon pulled of some more really good saves today aswell as his kicking being spot on again. The subs all did well when they came on. Another tough game on thursday against Formartine so lets hope we play as well as today but win for a change.

I cant believe Im reading that, these two guys were in the same team at the League Select trials and seemed to get on! oh well. poor show from the keeper.

Well done for getting your game on today, wish we had some of your good luck in that respect.
