Huntly YFC 2-1 Riverside BC

Our 1st win in 8 games and we played really well and the result shouldna have been so close cos I thought we dominated the game. The last 10 mins was pretty nervy and we should have put the game out of their reach long before then. Right from kick off we were on the front foot and we scored early, Matthew gettin the 1st. 1-0. We kept at them but just couldna finish, Matthew blocked one of James's shots on the line which would have made it 2-0 and some other things just didna fa right for us. Riverside rarely troubled us but near the end of the half we payed for nae scoring mare when we didna deal wi the goalies kick oot and got in a tangle wi Jordon oot of position and they scored. 1-1 half time.
2nd half we came oot same as the 1st and went at them again. Pressure told and we managed to win a penalty. Jamie stepped up and tucked it away right in the corner. 2-1. Once again we made more chances but just couldna tak them. Darren had the best ane when he made good space in the box but shot straight at the keeper. Like I said before the last 10 mins were nervy but we got their in the end. 2-1 full time.
Captain for the day Jamie was man of the match for us again, involved in all our good play, thundering into tackles and probably covered every blade of grass. James had a good game in midfield, Angus, Lee, Neal and Rory were solid at the back and David had a decent game in midfield covering the back 4. We seem to struggle to kill teams of but maybe today was mare a case of nerves after nae winning for a while and that playin on the loons minds. Excellent to win again but i'd prefer nae to feel so nervous for the last 10 mins. Well done abody.
