Best thing aboot theday wis gettin the win as gy near athing else we did wisna uptae fit we caen the loons are capable o. We new Turra would gie us a tuff game but we made it even tuffer wi sum o the things we were daien. We hit the post early doors, Ian I think, then took the lead when Maty stuck hame Ross's centre. We hit the woodwork 3 mare times before half time, Ian again, David and Gary wi a tuff header as it seemed things wouldna go for us. Ross hid a good chance fae a great Gary through ba bit hesitated slightly and gave the defender another sniff at it. Ian also hid a glorious chance right on half time fan he hid the goal at his mercy bit managed tae shoot directly at the keeper fan it wis easier tae score. 0-1 half time.
It looks good sayin we hit the post 4 times in the 1st half but we played poorly. We were always lookin for the hard pass, never the good easy ane. Nae offence tae Turriff but they played we nae shape and had gie near 8 defendin maest o the time and even though we stressed the point aboot how important it wis tae keep oor shape we were gettin dragged oot o position and it became a bottle neck up top wi nae space tae play through.
A half time talkin tae looked tae hav din the trick fan we scored wi oor 1st attack. Some good passin got Jamie in and he tucked his chance away, 0-2. But it was a false dawn and we went right back tae the 1st half standards. We continued makin poor desicion's a ower the pitch, the loons were daien silly things that they widna normally dae. Oor defendin wis questionable at 1 freekick fan we pushed way to far up and the ba ower the top exposed us, considerin how inept we were at times we were lucky Daniel never had ony shots tae save. Gary hit the crossbar wi a long range drive before Jamie made it mare cumfy wi a squiggler for 0-3. Turriff pulled 1 back wi an unstopable shot past Daniel. 1-3 final score.
Without doubt the worst we've played. A good team would hav teen us tae the cleaners theday. I think that we maybe went in wi the attitude that we were goin tae win onyway and it helped fuel a poor attitude among some o the team. Some did hae a good go and try and get things goin but there wisna enuff roon aboot daien the same. As the game wore on for some unknown reason everything hid tae be din at 100mph and resulted in to many poor decision's far it came tae passin or fan tae shoot. Daniel Sutton wis oor best performer theday wi a faultless display. Hopefully we winna play as badly as a team again and the good thing is even playin so poorly we still got the win.
