D`VALE 5 HUNTLY 4

Aye another very high scoring game from our 19`s. We played Vale on a perfect surface and a very good night for fitba(Thurs 1st Oct)
We kicked off and hemmed Vale into thier left hand corner for fully 5 mins. The game then burst into life and Vale took a strangle hold and scored four goals in 15 mins. A couple of thier goals were very well taken the other two on the soft side. They dominated big time and they should`ve had more, they hit the bar twice and a striker hit the post when it looked much easier to score.
The remaining 15 mins of the half saw us reduce the leeway when Pete Douglas headed home a corner then jist on the hooter Callum McIntosh stole another with a very tidy finish.

We regrouped and started the second haff on the front foot. It was important that we scored the next goal, and 10 mins in Kieran Cruickshank duly oblidged, game on. We hammered into Vale and were creating chances at will. We got our reward when Gav Walker headed home the equalizer with time for more. Vale keeper pulled off a point blank save from the feet of Kieran then Andy Seacombes failed to tap in a great cross from the right in front of an empty net.
We lost a very cruel goal right on the whistle when a rare attack fae Vale ended with a tap in after a ba that should`ve been dealt with hit the bar and landed at the greatful strikers feet a yard fae goal.
F-T 5-4.
We were beaten in the end but our second haff performance deserved something, it`s now Tues night and I still canna believe we lost THAT goal to concede the game.
