Ever considered if PLAYERS are going to the scotland game? If both clubs would lose players then ofcourse it would be on friday.

the player are most likely wanting to have a p*** up themselves on the Saturday now!

Norway 2 Scotland 0 at half time and also down to 10 men.

Lets get the Vale game back to Saturday as Scotland v Macedonia will mean nothing.

Cannot understand why we did not wait to make a decision anyway as what difference was another two days going to make to see if the Scotland game was going to be of any relevance.

FWIW, I would now move all kick offs back to the saturday league-wide.
THe only occasion that really merited such a move was the Scotland vs Italy game in the last campaign where if we won it was the biggest result this countrys had in years, yet only two clubs moved their game.
This is now effectively meaningless, and with the last game on a wednesday there seems little point in the focus being on it.

Moving this one doesnt excuse not moving the last one !!

I think all the clubs who have changed to friday will be regretting the decision already.
Losing good crowds and sponsorship on saturday for what is sure to be poorly attended friday night games.

Mmmmm perhaps it would have been better waiting to see what the Norway score was first before clubs started changing their game to the Friday night, as SAM said a lot of revenue will now be lost

Hindsight is a great thing but unfotunately I can't see the decision being reversed so we will have to accept having a very poor support at Banff and being totally bored on Saturday 5th September Sad

Surely plenty of time for comonsense to still prevail and all clubs would be applauded for admitting that they jumped the gun.

Ok I certainly have a vested interest in the game at Banff but do Formartine really want to deal with a four figure crowd at home to Locos on a Friday given all the publicty about the problems for the first home game.

And Turriff fans going to Nairn just does not make sense now.

Its not really hindsight as the Vale/Huntly decision was only made on Tuesday and my point was it easily have waited until today without affecting any arrangements.

Doesnt say much for the Scotland `fans` on here if they only want to watch the Macedonia game if they've a chance of qualifying. Probably the same people who'll be moaning they dont get a ticket for the play-off game at Hampden (should there be one).

Changed days indeed.

As far as I understand the game in midweek doesn't come up against a full set of fixtures Exclamation If we had got a result then the powers at be made the right choice but....................................................

But thats my point... why does them `getting a result` make a difference?

You either follow the national team (through thick and thin) or you dont.

I have my tickets for the macedonia game and booked a hotel, its just a pity the game won't have any real meaning towards the world cup. We have watched some honking teams at times and like everything else if the team are not producing results why should people spend hard earned eard cash to watch at times mince.

I see Brora and Forres have opted for a 12:30 kick on the Saturday for their home games, now that sounds like a good plan lol!
