The u16's scored an emphatic 8-2 win last night against Deveronvale. Hat-tricks by Dorrat and Law
saw the home side cruise to victory and set them up nicely for Thursdays match against Colony Colts.
Huntly started strongly and took the lead in the 5th minute. A long throw in from Clark was nodded on by Cooper and Scott LAW was on hand to net from close range.
Deveronvale came back strongly though and poor marking allowed the awy team to equalise.
However Huntly regained the lead in the 23rd minute through an own goal.
Huntly then started to take the game by the scruff of the neck and Law drew a great save from Huntly loon Scott Sinclair in the 'Vale goal with a shot from 25 yards.
Greg DORRAT then increased Huntly's lead, showing great strength to battle throught he visitors defence and round the keeper to score.
LAW then got his second of the night and his 30th of the season, drilling in from 12 yards and the same player got his hat-trick from a fine run and shot from just inside the box.
Half time 5-1.
Deveronvale pulled one back two minutes into the second half when Brown was caught in posession high up the park and Kyle Stewart ran on to net easily.
A comeback was never on the cards and Huntly emphasised their superiority when Lewis HENDRY found himself in space and clipped the ball over the keeper for 6-2. Greg DORRAT then ran on to a through ball from Law and scored easily and 5 minutes from the end DORRAT clinched his hat-trick when he nodded in from close range.
Hard games follow against Colony Colts (Thursday) and Banks o' Dee on Saturday but on last night's showing they should be confident of winning these games.
