Excellent game fae us theday and back tae oor best efter the wee blip on thursday.
The game didna start the best for us wi Banchory haein a the ba in the 1st 10 mins. The good thing wis that they never really threatened oor goal. Efter this initial bit o pressure we came mare intae the game and took over for the rest o the half, again withoot really threatenin the goal. Oor build up play wis good, alot o good movement and playin the right passes but we lacked that wee bit o punch upfront that Liam gies us as he wis playin centre mid. Jamie hid some bright moments wi Ross and once again oor delivery fae a corner wis superb jist naebody confident enuff tae really attack the ba. 0-0 half time.
2nd half we took ower far we left off and had plenty o the ba again. We tested the keeper mare and the goal wisna lang cumin. Liam brought the ba forward fae midfield and played Neal in on the right and he advanced in on goal and tae poked it past the keeper at his near post, 1-0. It wis nae mare than fit we deserved and quickly added the 2nd when a left wing cross was met in the box bi Darren who nipped it past the keeper. 2-0. Banchory noo had tae push on tae try and get back intae the game and left a bit o space for us but we hid a wee spell under pressure fae them that we looked affy untidy, lost a bit o shape and Banchory capitalised and pulled 1 back for 2-1. It didna knock us oot o oor stot for lang and we recovered oor 2 goal advantage fan Maty H latched ontae a ba in the box and looked tae hae rounded the keeper but the ba then broke tae Maty S fa took nae messin and simply leathered the ba in the goals for 3-1. Maty S had anither chance efter this ana fan he showed great pace tae get on the end o Ross's pass and got in the box but he had an iffy touch and missed his window of opportunity but he did tremendously weel tae get in their in the 1st place. We saw the game oot weel enuff for 3-1 full time.
We really did play excellent stuff theday. Everybody put a shift in for us and abody played really weel but naebody mare so than Liam fa covered every blade o grass. His tacklin, passin, headin and all round awareness was 1st class and deservedly won man o the match. In oor last 11 games we've won 9, drew 1 and lost 1 which I think is a fair achievment playin 3 games a week. Only 2 games left, Fernhill away and Banks o Dee at hame baeth mare than winable for us so we can finish the season off on a high.
