Tonight we proved tae Ellon that we arna s**** wi a comprehensive win. The win wisna withoot a couple o scare's for us but we dominated the play.
We started the game really well and forced a corner in the 1st minute. As usual Neal and Ross were creatin alot on the right and their slick play was creatin some good openins. We didna get enuff shots at goal to go wi how much o the ba we had but at the back we were really tight and gave Ellon little. The possession payed off late in the half though when Ross latched onto Ian's cross and headed it in the back o the net, 0-1. It was only fit we deserved for oor 1st half.
2nd half we played jist as well and kept playin good fitba. I was happy tae see oor passin wisna jist onyway will dae cos we worked oor openins really well. Ellon though werna oot o it a thegither and leveled it fan we cocked updealin wi a freekick played in the box, James came oot intae a crowd fan he didna need tae and missed it leavin an easy chance for them, 1-1. We had a number o freekicks efter this and Jamie was pepperin the goal wi shots fae them, he hit the bar once and forced the keeper intae 2 good saves. Oor 2nd goal came fae anither o Jamie's freekicks, this time instead o shootin he brilliantly fooled them we a delightfull chip intae Ross's path and he complimented the pass wi a deadly finish, 1-2. Ellon had 2 mare good chances cos o James's rushes o blood and you could say Ellon were unlucky nae tae level cos o the chances they had but if we had drawn the game it would hav been unfair on us efter the way we had controlled the possession. 1-2 fulltime.
Ellon took this defeat in a much better manor and they couldna argue that we were the better side. We played great stuff again and Jamie and Ross were joint man o the match. Jamie was instrumental in almost every good thing we did and Ross was deadly wi his finishin. The back 4 were rock solid again hardly giein Ellon a sniff. Hopefully we can keep this run goin tae the end o the season.
