Oor 3rd league defeat in a row but it was anither really tight game against Stoney. Their coach said efter the game that there is nithin atween us cos the 3 games we've played against them hav a been close affairs. Big pitch theday and the 1st half was played mainly in the midfield wi penalty area penetration limited. Stoney hit the crossbar and the post wi their best chances and we had a few shots at goal but nithin to get us to excited. Just before half time Craig sprained his wrist when he blocked a shot in the box and had tae come off. 0-0 half time.
2nd half was jist the same, affy tight wi chances limited but Stoney got a better grip for a 10 mins in the middle o the half and scored 2 in that period but wi 7 mins left Ross pulled 1 back for us wi a strong run and tight finish for 2-1. We we're slightly unlucky in the dyin minutes when a couple o things didna fa right for us on the edge o the box. A gutsy display but in the end we jist missed oot. 2-1 full time.
A lot o good effort again theday and although results hivna gone oor way itsnae a doom and gloom. Mare good fitba played by us today, the loons werna so quick to jist get rid o it theday they tried to use the ba whenever possible. My only real gripes today are aboot oor lack o confidence dealin wi a high ba. To many times we misjudge the flight and get right underneath it or when it comes to challengin an opponent for the high ba we seem to be scared aboot hurtin them or us if we're to commited(turnin oor backs or shuttin oor een). 50/50 challenges are a problem too, we lack a bit o aggression to win it, I think we can be a bity to nice for oor ane good sometimes. A unanimous decision at the end o the game had Ross as man of the match.
