If last weeks trip to Hazelhead was dogged, this weeks re-visit to the same venue to meet East End Delta was pulsating, and i'm very pleased that our lads ground out a good result to collect their first 3 points of the season.

Again our lads started well with slick passing & movement being rewarded on 7 mins with a penalty award, after a shot on goal which was net bound was plucked out of the air by an EED defender , for which he only received a yellow card. A well placed penalty by James Brooks was equally saved by the keeper but the on rushing Aiden Bowie was on hand to prod in the rebound 0-1.

Our boys seemed to settle down well after that and played some good stuff whilst well on top and on 23mins added to our score when Andrew Munro latched on to one of many brilliant through balls cleverly executed by Liam Ferguson and Andrew slotting it home at the near post 0-2.

2 mins later we should have increased our lead, first Billy Blanchards run through on goal , then Andrew Munro chose to lay off unselfishly rather than go for goal himself.
Then came the usual sucker punch just before half time when a good strike left Jordan Ogg with no chance to pull one back.

Half time 1-2.

EED got a lift from the goal and you could sense some urgency from them to get more but our lads dug in and were equal to the task. A
corner was taken short with James Brooks crossing for Andrew Munro who's brilliant header was denied by the crossbar, our next attack
though brought us joy when James Brooks head flick on sent Aiden Bowie through on goal and slotted home his 2nd of the game, but credit to the
lads from EED who really were up for making a game of it and were rewarded after another great strike made it 2-3.

By this time the action was end to end and another corner this time by Liam Ferguson was met by James Higgins at the near post who cleverly drived it home off the upright 2-4.

EED refused to give up though and their tall forward was causing us all sorts of problems, eventually leading to another good goal for them 3-4, which made for a very anxious last 3mins of the match but thanks to Jordan Ogg's good handling and some steely defending we were able to hold on to and collect a well deserved 3 points.

Lots of positives to be taken from this match, another fine performance by Jordan in goal, good understanding coming from a defence
of Ritchie, Jack, Lee and Aiden who today apart from couple minor misjudgements were strong performers also, our midfield of James H,
Liam, James B, Andrew and later Evan finding real width. Billy, Aiden & later Matthew providing craft & strength to the forward line.
overall well pleased with the lads performance and attitude today but for us man of the match must go to a masterly performance from the
brilliant Liam Ferguson whose vision and passing was outstanding throughout.

Todays team:- 1/Jordan Ogg 2/Ritchie Gibb 3/Aiden Bowie 4/Jack Duncan 5/Lee Inglis 6/James Higgins 7/Andrew Munro 8/Liam Ferguson 9/Aiden Bowie 10/James Brooks 11/Billy Blanchard 12/Matthew Anderson 14/Evan Cranna
