| The song origins are not exactly politically correct. In 1978 Talbot won their first trophy after a long barn spell. One of their fans is deaf and was singing "we'll support you evermore" and it sounded like eekapeekapukapo thus the song was born when the Talbot army joined in. The guy still supports Talbot and was in your social club last week, all the fans were singing it to him whilst giving it the were are not worthy gestures. He, and his sons, are very proud of the anthem. | |

| Thanks for the explanation no 7. It would appear that it has very special significance to Talbot, so maybe not appropriate for us to adopt it now that we know the history. | |

| Its a great story I don't see an issue with us adopting it as a black and gold anthem Besides I dont think you will stop the guys from singing it now | |

| As a Huntly excile first time I've actually managed to see them play for a number of years. Disappointed to put it mildly with the first half show or should that be no show, but performance so much better in second half. would have been interesting if penalty had resulted in making it three each rather than four - three, but as others have said the far better team won on the day. Not sure that folk in the Highlands appreciate the standard and passion of junior football in Ayrshire. If you thought the atmosphere was lively on saturday try going along to a Talbot v Glenafton or Cummock game | |

| Well we have our own song
We're gold We're black We're jumping on yer back We're Huntly we're Huntly
It was good enough for the glory days on the 90's so why change it for something that has nothing to do with Huntly

| We only have ONE song. How many teams do you know who have only one song? It's a bit of fun and I think the boys will sing it anyway regardless. | |

| part of the banter at a game is creating/stealing/borrowing songs. It's simply harmless fun and the old songs will always be remembered/sang and never be forgotten. | |

Torite all the bot fans were very welcomnin and seemd to lyk the fact we got the song started!! The only way i could see a problem with singing the song is if the bot fans were offended in anyway by it!!! Anyway all i can say is that it was a brilliant day, not a gr8 result but oh well just have to win the league. Oh yeh and foof we were in their and tad befofe half time

There is no doubt that Huntly had a good team in the 90s, but hey Talbot weren't bad then either, as for the 80s, have a wee look at the record books? We Talbot fans use to debate long and hard in those days about getting a go at the big cup, we've waited a long time.
