If the game is off, any chance of trying on the sunday?

The SHFL Rules wont allow us to try and scedule the game on the Sunday if the game was to go off on saturday. So we defently wont be playing this match on the Sunday. After talking with Nairn Yesterday its not looking good for the game as they also have allot of snow. Will keep everyone posted and an early decision will be made.

Thanks for that Andy. Would be funny if game is off then sunday pitch was fine

It certainly would be ironic when they werent willing to change the fixture to Sunday when asked earlier

I would thought that there is no chance of the game going ahead but you never know !

There is still around 3 inches of snow on the park and unless we have a major rise in temputure it is looking bleak for the game on Sunday...

Game called off after midday

The Lossiemouth v Huntly Match on saturday 9th january 2010 has been called off due to the amount of snow on the part and it being hard with frost.

White or green ??
I assume its more likely to be off than on at this stage ??

who knows one of thoses games may end up midweek, isn't there word of the 110 mile rule being scrapped in order to get games played. Remember Buckie having to go to Fort on a wednesday night the season we won the league.

the fixture backlog meeting that takes place between the League committee tonight will be interesting!

For next season scrap the aberdeenshire cup and shield,league cup midweek at the start of the season,final at the end.

I see it's reported that the league have extended the season in addition to starting midweek games earlier (8th Feb). Seems a sensible solution to the fixture backlog.

Also interesting that the league is scheduling a full league programme on May Day. Car boot sale in the morning, football in the afternoon, yes that'll get me out of doing housework

i see that that wick and nairn match was rescheduled for tomorrow after there scheduled games bein called off was there no chance huntly could have got the strathspey game on at christie park this weekend?
