Fernhill Rovers 0-12 Huntly

A rather pointless exercise tonite in which we learnt very little aboot oorsells.

Ross opened the scorin in the 1st 5 seconds o the game(nae joke it wis that quick) and Liam added the 2nd efter 5 mins then we went intae 2nd gear and plodded aboot for 15/20 mins. We were way to casual and it wis far to easy for the loons to be like this. Fernhill offered zilch and everybody thought the world cup pass wis the ane tae play nae the simple ane. Jamie got a lucky ane fan his cross eluded the keeper and went in off the post for 3-0. When we decided tae play good fitba we were rewarded wi a tidy goal when Jamie touched hame Ross's cross. 0-4 half time.

Efter a half time kick up the back side we played slightly better 2nd half. Liam made it 5-0 wi a left fit finish, Conner followed up wi a goal fae a simple throw in, 6-0, Jamie missed a penalty but his hattrick came fae a good pass fae Neal, 7-0, Ian scored a Paul Scholes'esque goal fae a corner, 8-0, Gary headed in fae a freekick for 9-0, Darren made it 10-0 wi a neat finish, Jamie got lucky again fan the keeper made a balls o savin his shot for 11-0 and Ross rounded off the scorin fan he pinched Steven's glory and fired in for 0-12 full time.

Games like this are a waste as Fernhill and us get nothin fae it. Next seasons C league will be better for us and them as the leagues'll be mare competitive. Ye canna really blame the loons at times for bein casual against teams like this and it is annoyin tae watch as oor shape goes a tae pot as abody goes for the glory and forgets aboot the team. Playin fitba against these teams gets ye mare goals than bein selfish and tryin impossible shots or dribbles past 10 men. Gary was for me, man o the match and James must hav touched the ba 3 times 1st half and 3 2nd, we could have got off wi him nae comin. Conner in midfield 2nd half did play a lot o good forward passes and wis aboot the only midfielder fa kept his shape. If they play like this on sunday we'll hemmer them.

c league isnt rubber stamped as yet mike, but this sort of result shows the need for it.

Well done boys on another good win, but I doubt you'll have learned much other than how to score goals.

I learn't that there are things I would like us tae dae against good teams thit we only dae against poor teams, eg centre backs wantin the ba fae a throw in in space and nae fear o attackin a corner or freekick intae the box.
I'm also glad that there are things we dae against poor teams that we dinna dae against good teams, eg think its to easy and that we'll score nae matter fit/ play the world cup ba instead o the sensible ane/ nae work as hard tae get the ba back cos they're p*** and winna score ony way and be far to casual in possession.
Is that enuff moanin?
