We played really well again today and lost again in the last minute!!!! Both teams theday played a great game and i dinna think we deserved to lose, a draw would probably have been fair. We lost the 1st goal as usual then started to play better afterwards(as usual). We like to mak things hard for ourselves. We got a lot o joy down the right and thats far our goal came fae. Jamie picked up a good pass came into the box and fae a tight angle put it high above the keeper. 1-1. His Dad thought he should hav squared it. Good choice Jamie fit does yer Dad caen? 1-1 half time.
2nd half was much o the same, both teams going for a win. If George Burley had been watching there would be a new keeper in the next Scotland squad cos Jordon had a cracker o a game theday. His kicking, handling and some o the saves he made were ace. He was our man of the match. Donsides manager also singled oot Jordon as the best player on the park. We had some chances 2nd half, so did they and in the last minute they finally managed to beat Jordon. 1-2 full time.
Once again ye canna fault how the loons played, on another day we could have won. Donside are another of the top teams and we are definitely competing with these teams now. Andrew continued his good run of form with another good game theday, James put in a lot of work and some of his passing was tidy and last but not least Jamie and Darren played really well up front.
team 1 Jordon Ogg 2 Neal Weir 3 Rory Stephen 4 Lee Inglis 5 Aiden Bowie(c)6 David Ferguson 7 Andrew Munro 8 William Ferguson 9 Darren Manson 10 James Higgins 11 Jamie Goodall subs Angus Rennie,Aidan Bowie,Gary McWilliam,Matthew Anderson

Jamie Goodall - well done for scoirng past the League select keeper.
Jordan - well done for outshining him.

I still fancy you guys for a top third finish which would be cracking in yer first season, go get it lads.

It goes to show how far this team have come this season. We are now competing really well against the league leaders FDS, Ferryhill and now Donside. There's nae much between them now.

The biggest difference in my opinion is that the other teams are still passing the ball more and communicating better.

Remember lads:

1. Control the ball to yer feet if you can.
2. Look for a team-mate in space (ideally before the ball gets to you)
3. Pass! Pass, pass, pass, pass, pass and pass again!

Make the ball do the work. Too many times we are thumping the ball 1st time and giving away easy possession. Make life easier for yourselves. Remember your triangles and how hard it is for the opposition to get the ball from you when you have it and the other 2 team-mates are in SPACE? Sebo was almost dying on his feet on Wed before he managed to get the ball! Make it easy for the guy with the ball and find space so that he can pass to you. That might mean running towards him -not always away! Find space and SHOUT for it. We're still far too quiet.

Of course, sometimes you canna mess aboot - you just have to clear it as best you can. If you find yersel thumping every ball you're probably being too hasty. Control. Look. Pass. Keep it simple. Also, if you are taking on 3 or 4 men and continually losing the ball then you are trying to do too much. Nothing wrong with taking men on, but if you're always doing it and always eventually losing the ball then you are just making life difficult for yersel and the team. Keep it simple lads!

Pass and then find space for yer mate tae pass back to you.

If you manage to do that life on the pitch will be much easier for you, especially against the top teams. I guarantee you will get results from the good teams if you: control, look, pass, find space. Your best play all season is when you have been doing that, but only in small bursts so far. Let's see if we can improve on that. And if you don't get results I'll buy Jordan a Rowie for Christmas!

Definately achievable! Keep up the good work lads!

PS Good result for Insch at the weekend Andy!
