Glad I stumbled on this forum, interesting to see the other side's take on things.
A few people posting about "home" linesmen, I suppose every team has the perception that the home team gets the decision, in fact we belive it about Huntley, and we also feel that we don't benefit from home decisions. I'll bet you feel the same.

In this incident, I was stood behind the goal, less than 20 metres away and I have to tell you the linesman in this case was spot on, to be honest I thought the shirt pulling and push would have been obvious all over the ground.

I did enjoy your managers comment that there was a low sun that would have made it difficult for the linesman, if he had stopped to think about it, he would have realised that the sun was in his eyes, but BEHIND the linesman (Doh)

And yes, both sendings off were justified, and both were quite violent, very disappointing really.

The Lino flags and we all think its a penalty for the foul on Ewen as he set up Guildy.
But no , a farcical decision against Ewen chalks off the goal.

Never seen a defender defend with his back to the player, in the first photo you'll see it looks like the wick player is holding mikeys arm, and as you see in both photos that the wick player isn't looking for a free kick but it is mikey who is appealing

I was just having a look at the first photo and it's like the Academy defender is lifting your boy like a sack of coal! How did he manage to grab his arm and lift it over his shoulder, might it not be that your man placed it there? I know it's a sore one but I can vouch that although no official always gets it right our "homers" are no easier on us, but thats part of the game and possibly a part that we would miss more than we realise if it wasn't there.

Jamieson ( Notice that I checked who was posting) I am pleading not guilty. Maybe there are too many Academy supporters hijacking this post now! You can be sure there is no lack of respect for Huntly here, your position is one we aspire to. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long! Cheers.
