The Highland League fixture v. Cove Rangers is also likely to go ahead at Echt AFC's ground as well on Sunday 23rd November 2008 - 12 noon KO.

(To be confirmed). This will signal the end of the East Section fixtures for year with the next half of fixtures to be completed - starting February 2009).

Their is no fixture for Sunday 30th November 2008.

Over the December/January period it is the intention to pick up a few friendly fixtures to keep the squad playing together.

We may look at playing a couple of North Section Teams in the HL also as most people will be on holiday during this period.

Games subject to weather permitting.[b]

PS. Good to hear Callum Mackintosh has made a quick recovery from his op.

"Notice to all Players : The game v. KEITH FC will be played at ECHT AFC's ground, KO - 12noon, be at ground for 11.00am."

"The Highland League fixture v. Cove Rangers is also likely to go ahead at Echt AFC's ground as well on Sunday 23rd November 2008 - 12 noon KO."

Why are all these games being played at ECHT AFC's ground?

Fraser,

I understand this to be a Keith "home" game due to Kynoch Park being unavailable tomorrow.
I can only assume that Cove will use this pitch also for their "home" game.

To: Fraser,Reporter and Co.

That is correct, Keith agreed to play the game at Echt because the bulk of their players came from the Aberdeen area, so it suited the majority as regards travel costs. We also managed to have an earlier KO so that all parties could have some time to themselves for a change on a sunday afternoon.

As for the Cove game being played at Echt this will be a home game for Huntly HL U17s and again it is down to finance once again as the majority of people involved come from the south area.

If it were a Home game against KEITH, BUCKIE, BROCH, DEVERONVALE etc. then Huntly's home games would be played at Huntly.

This is purely a 'cost exercise' as Huntly FC do not finance any of the 17s travel costs.

By re-arranging these matches, it has allowed Huntly HL U17s to complete their fixture card for the first half of the season wothout the interruption of bad weather.

If anybody has a problem with this? Speak to the Chairman of Huntly FC!

On the subject of grounds, it is much appreciated by the 17s that Fraserburgh and Peterhead allowed the youth games to be played at their respective Highland League grounds, much appreciated and their 'after match hospitality' too.
