As manager of our U-19`s Highland League team I`d like to ask if there are young players in the area we are missing. I`ve tried out many youngsters this season but I`d hate to think there are players on our doorstep I`m missing.
We as a team(U-19`s) have came on leaps and bounds over the last year but we need more quality in our squad. I`ve given three of our very good under 16 side a run in the 19`s and by and large these players have done a very good job and have a very good attitude. yes these lads will feature in more games very soon but I do know they have many mid-week games for the 16`s and I don`t want these lads playing too many games too soon.
The squad of players we`re using are doing very well and many have played in our 21`s side and some have made it into the first team squad. This is what the 19`s team is about at this club, to try to get players for the first team. Yes we do try to win games but the important thing is to play properly and progress through to our 21`s then first team. If some of the older players in our 19`s side is playing regulary for the 21`s he may not feature in all the 19`s games, I`d much prefer to take another younger player in to see what he can do. Winning is fine at any level but producing talented youngsters is the direction we must take.
The games this season have been well attended and I`ve yet to see a bad one. The teams that we`ve played and ourselves have played the game in a proper manner. We`ve been delighted with our support and I`d like to thank you on behalf of the players and management team.
If there are players out there that would like to have a try we`ll be having trials very soon.

probably a bit late now but im willing to play next season as i will have time now
i used to play for th 17s and captained them at one stage
im not 17 yet and believe i can play for the 19s. appart from i dont think i can make the trials coming up as i work on fridays Sad
