Mike Ewan is staying and has been taken off the transfer list, We did do a deal with Banks Of Dee For Ritchie Taylor but He is moving abroad and is unable to sign for any club so the deal ended there. We are still working on bring new players to the club and as usual Huntly FC will be the first to know once all the paper work has been done

oh dear oh dear, any news on the Forres bid for Mike Ewen??

Aparently (on MMPG fornt page) they put in a bid for Mikey, but we turned it down and asked for a five figure sum (seems harsh guys!).

Then Dave asked for Grapies, Neil Whyte & Ryan Green and got told no chance ??

sure someone at the club would've liked to have seen Grapies back at Huntly

I see our latest signing target has told us to get stuffed. He would rather sit about being paid a good wage doing next to nothing-sounds good lol!

Well I am encouraged that we are having discussions with top quality players like Bagshaw and Michie.
Obviously terms have to be at Highland league level and not at Division 2 level and I suspect that may be the major stumbling block.
Hopefully the junior club asking daft fees for their striker will also take a reality check sooner rather than later.
Hopefully there will be some good news soon

Well outwith our budgets unless the guys understand that full-time football may not be the way to go. That said its a big drop from spl to hfl, many of these lads if good enough are likely to picked up by angus teams, elgin and peterhead.

James come on Elgin are no better than some of the teams in the HFL..... So i dont think any of these players would be intrested in going there.Just my Opinion.

I agree with you, elgin is a town of 40,000 folk plus other areas and they can't get 600 of a gate. The major reason players don't want to go to elgin is the amount of travel, that what ross jack was in glasgow last week signing up players.

Could still be a lot of potentials out there soon though as teams start to trim down squads.

Would it not be worth pushing the boat out that little bit extra to attract a "high profile" signing which would then in turn assist with the recruitment of further signing targets?

Gaz the club will not be held to ransom by anyone at the end of the day there is money there to get players but no one is bigger that the club.

Some of the money other clubs are paying is madness but where will it all end?
