| I'd say he's definately gone, if not he'll never get the same reaction from the fans again.
United stood by him when the hole of England turned against him after the Rooney sending off incident and this is what he does to show his loyalty to the club.
If he does stay he'll come out all smiles saying the usual pish that United is the club he loves and he had no doubt about leaving Man United, bollocks.
However, when he goes to Madrid, I wouldn't be suprised if Ruud Van Nistelrooy re-appeared at Old Trafford as part of the deal. |

| Ronaldo is a mercenary and he's had enough of the rain in Manchester. Ferguson turned him from a showboater into the player he is.So its a nice thank you from him. What will be interesting is how much Madrid have to pay for him.£60 million ? Cant see Ruud coming back after he fell out with Fergie for being the sub at the league cup final against Wigan. |

| Only reason Ruud was left on the bench was for a training ground bust-up with Ronaldo, all United fans know that.
Van Nistelrooy and Vieira reportedly had words with one another after the Holland, France game they still dislike one another from a match in 2003.
I can't see the Ronaldo incident being any different, Van Nistelrooy will still have bad feelings towards Ronaldo. |

| Think the Vieira incident is a bit different. Van Nistelrooy infuriated vieira in a match with some of his antics leading to vieira blowing a fuse and accusing him in his book of blatent cheating ie; diving and trying to get players sent off. Leading to the unrepairable rift between the two. (Not condoning either the antics that are all too common place in football or Vieira publishing the accusations as he should have kept that to himself no matter how his feelings.) Can sympathise with you on Real's method's of unsettling players as an Arsenal fan you see it all the time, Anelka(although an amazing profit) Overmars, Petit, Vieira, Henry, all got similar treatment. Flamini to a lesser extent cos he was a free agent, then Fabregas, Hleb, Adebayor who are constantly being courted but yet to leave. Ferguson should do what he and Wenger always do, as in only let the player go on his terms! THe afore mentioned although had their heads turned they left on Wengers terms, made Arsenal great profit and none ever looked the same player again with Vieira the only one to find success. The same can be said of Fergie in instances like Beckham and Van Nistelrooy. No player is bigger than the club and Fergie will either ensure great profit, or ensure he is sold when it suits Man U not Real or the player. OR possibly ensure both! |

| Apparently Real have halved what they were promising to pay Ronaldo according to what I've been hearing.
Typical Real Madrid really, get the pound signs, or euro signs in this case into Ronaldo's eyes making him come out and say that he wants to leave United for Real Madrid and then with this the fans turn against Ronaldo, meaning he has to take any offer he can get from Real Madrid to leave.
When talking about this to a lad from Aberdeen earlier on today, he said to me didn't the United fans turn against Ronaldo after the Rooney incident.
No. The first game of the season at Old Trafford against Fulham when they won 5-1 the Man Utd fans in the East and South stand surrounding the away end out-sung the Fulham support when even a hint of a Ronaldo hate song came about.
Great loyalty to a club that. |
